Robert E. (Bob) Koster

I knew Paul from Mr. Goodheart's history class.  The class was totally out of control.  Paul sat behind me (at least on days when we had a test). In the middle of one test, Paul said to me, " Koster, who painted the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel?"  In typical 9th grade fashion, I replied "Michelangelo, you idiot."  The next day we got our papers back and Paul said "Koster boy, you screwed me! You gave me the wrong answer!".  I said, "What do you mean? I got it right".
Turns out, Paul had written just "Angelo".  In fairness to Paul, I had written "Michael Angelo".  Guess I got credit for being close. 
Paul was a genuine nice guy and a friend to everyone.  If leaving behind a life of friendships, laughs, and goodwill shared with everyone counts for anything, Paul gets credit for more than being close.  He goes to the head of the class.  I'm proud I knew him.  Thank you for your friendship, Paul.  God bless.

Hey Paul exclamation hope things are going well in California. I'm still in Pittsford. We used to clown around quite a bit together. I think we even camped out one night at Canandaigua lake. Take it easy. Bob Koster
