Mike was one of the first people I met when I moved to Pittsford from Penfield in 3rd grade.  Mike, Dave Lund and Tom Hart were classmates who lived up the road from me in Green Valley.  I recall starting 4th grade with Mike and Gerd Herman sitting beside me.  It is with some sadness that I reflect on the loss of these two individuals.  Mike was softspoken and kind hearted.  We played many neighborhood games together (baseball, soccer, football, dodgeball, etc.).  Memories include trick or treating on Halloween, Mike wearing clam diggers after returing from a family trip to Florida, waiting at the bus stop throughout the year in whatever weather happened to befall us.

Yes, I was on that same bus...I lived in Crescent Hills and my parent's yard backed up to the

Paviour's yard (with the creek in between). The Mariner's yard also (on our side).

Mike was a good friend for a number of years until sometime during the high school years, at which time we drifted apart. I could ride my bike easily to his house in Green Valley from mine in Crescent Hills.  I found out about Mike's passing from an obituary my father sent me back in 2006. He was living in the Tuscon area and died on February 6, 2011. He sounded like a gentle soul who loved gardening; he evidently did landcaping for a living.  RIP, friend Mike.

Mike and I were in Tay House Boy Scout Troop together along with classmates: Dave Baxter, Tom Hart, Dave Lund Steve Satterwhite, and tom May to name a few.

Pavey, as I liked to call him, and I agree with both Jim Fisher, and Jim Womeldorf (Merry Christmas, many of God's blessings to you both!!), was an absolutely gentle, humble, funny, sweet-spirited guy! He never wavered from his personality as long as I knew him-age 12-18. He was always willing to help anyone vout and was friendly to all.

Mike Paviour, I mis you too my friend!
